Overview

 

This workshop will help you to gain an understanding of some of the key principles of project management.  Competing in teams, you will use project management software to create a project plan for a multi-faceted project.  This workshop will test your problem-solving skills and your teamwork and leadership skills.

 

Outcomes

 

By the end of this workshop you will:

 

  • Have gained experience of using project management software to construct a project plan.

 

  • Understand some of the key principles of project management, e.g. dependencies, critical path analysis and the vital importance of adding contingency into a project plan.

 

  • Have learnt how to conduct a project review in light of several risks which often materialise during the implementation of a project.

 

  • Have tested your problem-solving skills and your teamwork and leadership skills in a competitive environment.
