UCL Alumni Profile

Name: Greg Caws

What you studied at UCL: Physics

Current Role at Atos: Business Consultant

I studied Physics for 4 years at UCL, but always wanted a career in business. I joined the Atos Business Consulting Graduate Scheme in 2015 which combined my interest in business and technology. I have been rewarded with quick progression opportunities and a year on from finishing the Graduate Scheme I am currently leading a team on one of our largest accounts.

Studying Physics at UCL taught me some crucial skills that have proved invaluable during my early career. To be presented with a problem and to be able to assess it, break it down and frame a solution is an essential skill that was honed at study and is at the core of IT Consultancy and exposure to programming gained at UCL has given me the technical insight required for Data Analytics. Throughout my degree I was given the opportunity to work in small and large teams in for research projects, the organisational and interpersonal skills learned from these opportunities have proven to be invaluable in the project driven industry of Consulting.
